Companies of all shapes and sizes hire temporary warehouses for their needs. But, whether they are hired as extra office space, for industrial reasons, or for storage use, one question that we are regularly asked is whether our warehouses are durable enough to be used long term. And, although the word ‘temporary’ suggests that a building can only be used for a short amount of time, is this really the case?
The Truth
Temporary warehouses are only classed as temporary because of their ability to be set up and taken down when required, giving them full flexibility. This does not mean that temporary warehouses are poor quality, and it also doesn’t mean that they can’t be used for extended amounts of time – in fact most temporary warehouses can be erected for as long as 15 years at a time without issue. Whilst most of our clients use our warehouses for periods between 3 and 6 months, there would be no problem with them keeping the warehouses in place for longer.
Fully Compliant with British Standards
Temporary warehouses are robust and strong, and they are designed to be fully compliant with the British Standard for structural safety. What this basically means is that the structure is sound, and that it is also weatherproof against wind and rain. This means that as a business owner, you can rest assured that the warehouse you rent will be safe for you and your staff.
So, whilst temporary might sound like a short term solution, it is definitely possible to rent a temporary warehouse for a much longer period of time.
